A foreword from Bobby Pesti:

My contributions to the sounds used for this album cover twelve years. "[REDACTED]" comes some time around 19 years old [SONG SINCE BEEN REMOVED], "Taco Truck" a decade later, in between a bunch of songs I've long forgotten.

Collected here is the best possible way I could have imagined the noises assembled. Will has done an incredible job preserving a great sample of odds and ends we've all created but shelved, and pieced together something better than could have done intentionally when each small fragment was originally captured.

I have to be reminded of what they are, when they are from, if it is actually us playing. I like that. I like that it isn't even mine to claim anymore.

It stopped being mine when I decided to play it out loud.

"Powerlines" is a retrospective compilation of unreleased demos, field recordings, found projects, and other creative outputs by Bounty Hunter Brothers: past, present and future. [After all, Bobby Pesti will be downloaded into a monkeys body by 2032. Thirteen more years buddy!]

Upon preview, Michael Leone reacted with "what I got was an album that sounds like a bootleg live album. or maybe like a voyeur overhearing a band next door while alien sounds do crazy stuff."
